3 Army ROTC cadets in Summer CULP program

Three Army ROTC cadets traveled abroad to teach English to military personnel in three  countries a part of the U.S. Cadet Command’s Cultural Understanding and Language Proficiency (CULP) Program.  Below are snapshots of what the Cadets did in the program this past summer.


Cadet Elizabeth Kolar taught English to the cadets at the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy (CRMA) in Thailand.  “I learned a lot about how the Thai military differs from ours and how we can work together, despite the differences. I also enjoyed the many opportunities I got, including jumping from CRMA’s jump tower and trying Muay Thai, ” Kolar said.


Cadet Jacob Kruse was a on CELLT (Cadet English Language training Team) mission in Benin. “Take every chance you can get to better yourself; it will always help you in the long run,” Kruse said.


Cadet Spencer Biermann delivered English training to Kosovo Security Force’s NCO Corp. “Friendships formed bear continued significance in international relations: “Maybe one day you will teach me again in the US as a Lieutenant,” Biermann said.
