Meyer named Hendrickson Scholar, delivers Cheever Lecture

Tim handsTimothy Meyer, lecturer of Economics, received the second annual J.P. Hendrickson Faculty Scholar award and delivered the Herbert Cheever Jr. Liberal Arts Lecture on Jan. 21  .  Both were sponsored by the South Dakota State University College of Arts & Sciences.

Meyer’s lecture, “The Implicit Benefits of a Liberal Education: the Economics of Morality, Politics, Charity, and Life as viewed by Adam Smith, Karl Marx, and Others” covered how economics synergizes with other liberal arts studies to make the world a better place for everyone.
